Firmware updates

We regularly update our software to improve performance and reliability. Below you’ll find the most important updates we think our users should know about. Smaller security patches and bug fixes may also be released but are not always listed here.

Please note that software updates may be rolled out in stages, so your device might not always run the latest version mentioned here right away. If you have any questions about software versions or updates, please contact our customer support.

Mobile Aplication

Version 2.15 (October 2024).

  • New Languages Added: Latvian, Dutch, and Romanian.
  • Bug Fixes: Resolved an issue where the fan speed modal did not open properly in case of an error, preventing users from changing fan speed and seeing error reason.

Version 2.14 (October 2024).

  • New Statistics View: We’ve enhanced the interface for a faster, more efficient experience.
  • Updated Wi-Fi Connectivity Design: The new design looks great and improves usability (only for device manufactuer after 09.2024).
  • Bug Fixes: Corrected the display of supply temperature and humidity.
  • Bug Fixes: Resolved an issue where the humidifier’s status was not displayed.

Version 2.13 (September 2024).

  • Improved Home View: The main home view has been updated to provide a clearer, more comprehensive overview of your home’s air quality.
  • Easier Ventilation Control: Selecting the ventilation speed is now more intuitive and user-friendly, allowing for quicker adjustments to your preferences.
  • Advanced Airflow Control: With firmware version 532 and newer, you can now enable settings to automatically control airflow based on VOC and PM levels, giving you even more precise control over your indoor air quality.
  • Customizable CO2 Levels for Energy Saving: You can now configure the CO2 threshold for Home presence detection, tailoring it to your preference for when the system should switch to energy-saving mode.
  • Improved User Management: When inviting a new user to your home group, you now have the option to assign them as the new owner of the group. This feature is particularly useful for installers setting up devices for their clients.

Version 2.12 (August 2024).

  • Added the ability to connect Airobot Ventilation to a Wi-Fi network (available on devices with Wi-Fi support, manufactured from 09/2024). This feature can be accessed from the Settings menu. Requires a minimum of Android 12 or iOS 12.4.

Version 2.11 (July 2024).

  • Home view update: The home view now displays VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) levels along with the room temperature for improved air quality monitoring.
  • Expert settings added: New expert settings for duct devices and humidifiers have been introduced, allowing for more detailed configuration.
  • Bug fixes: Various minor bug fixes have been implemented to enhance overall performance and stability.

Version 2.10 (May 2024).

  • Introducing new settings allowing users to toggle ventilation control based on humidity levels.
  • Now displaying device model names instead of model numbers in the info view. This enhancement simplifies the process of ordering filters, for instance.
  • Enhanced the selection process for thermostat home and away temperature setpoints.
  • Improved data updating in views, even when certain modals are open, such as the temperature efficiency view.
  • Fixed an issue where the fan level number was occasionally hidden.

Version 2.9 (March 2024).

  • It is now possible to reorder devices from home group settings. Just drag and drop on the device name.
  • Added button to initiate ventilation unit CO2 sensor calibration (only for use in case of failed automatic calibration).
  • Pressing the home button in the home view will now scroll to the top.
  • QR code reader now has autofocus, making it easier to scan.
  • Added shortcut button to read about app and device updates.
  • Duct device view is now showing position of the valve (if 0-10V)
  • Lots of UX improvements.

Version 2.8 (February 2024).

  • Fixed issue that caused QR CODE scan to crash app
  • Faster data updates when reopening the app.
  • Get notified about ventilation devices’ firmware updates.

Ventilation units

Version 537 (August 2025)

  • Added compatibility for Airobot V4 and V6 models, including the ability to change the device ducting type (Right or Left) directly from the mobile app or controller.
  • Fixed an issue where devices could lose connection with the extension module for duct cooler or heater control.
  • Introduced an all-in-one air quality sensor, now integrated into V4 and V6 models.
  • Improved constant airflow control for even smoother and more stable fan operation.

Version 536 (March 2025)

  • This update introduces constant flow fan control and fan power consumption monitoring for compatible devices, improving performance and energy tracking.
  • The device will now remain off after a fire alarm is cleared, preventing unintended automatic restarts.
  • Added support for automatic damper relays where applicable.
  • Fixed a rare issue where certain settings could be lost after an over-the-air (OTA) update.
  • Devices now send error alerts directly to the server, laying the groundwork for future push notification support.

Version 533 (July 2024)

  • Added support for Airobot Lite devices.
  • Fans can now be controlled based on PM (Particulate Matter) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) levels.
  • Various improvements to humidifier functionality.
  • CO₂ threshold for presence detection is now configurable.
  • Improved fan control logic to reduce false error reports.
  • Wi-Fi functionality introduced for units manufactured from September 2024 onward (if equipped with Wi-Fi hardware).

  • Airobot room sensors and thermostats now transmit air quality data to ventilation devices.
  • Fixed: Presence detection (energy-saving mode) activating even when disabled.
  • Significantly improved humidifier control logic.

Version 267 (August 2025)

  • You can now secure your thermostat with a PIN code. Choose between a full lock to fix the temperature or a partial lock that allows changes only within your defined minimum and maximum range, giving you better control and preventing unwanted adjustments.

Version 266 (January 2024)

  • It is now possible to set the minimum and maximum allowed heating setpoint temperature, defining the range the user can choose from.

Version 264 (June 2023)

  • In some cases, the hardware number shown on the screen was incorrect.

  • In rare cases, the thermostat could stop functioning and require a restart.

Version 263 (May 2023)

  • The main menu interface has been redesigned.

  • An automatic actuator cycling function has been added to prevent valve sticking.

  • A local API is now available, with documentation in the Help section.

  • Touch buttons could occasionally stop responding.

  • Restoring factory settings could cause the thermostat to forget the password, which can now be recovered by contacting support.

Room sensors SE1 and room controller

Controller Version 266 (August 2025)

  • Additional relays for pump and boiler control now include a function that starts them with a 3-minute delay if at least one of the zones is requesting heat.
  • In some rare cases, the room controller could lose connection with all room sensors and require a reboot to restore connection.
  • If room sensors lose connection with the room controller, an emergency function now activates, running heating for 15 minutes on and 45 minutes off. This issue has now been fixed.

Controller Version 265 (May 2025)

  • Fixed occasional room controller connection issues over LAN.
  • Added auto-recovery for room sensors when connection is lost.

Controller Version 263, Room Sensors Version 258 (December 2024)

  • The controller now includes an option during initial setup to configure floor cooling functionality, offering greater flexibility for your system.
  • Compatibility has been added to control up to four external fan coils, expanding system capabilities.
  • Connection stability with room sensors has been improved for more reliable and seamless operation.
