We regularly update our software to improve performance and reliability. Below you’ll find the most important updates we think our users should know about. Smaller security patches and bug fixes may also be released but are not always listed here.

Please note that software updates may be rolled out in stages, so your device might not always run the latest version mentioned here right away. If you have any questions about software versions or updates, please contact our customer support.

Release notes

Mobile Aplication

Version 3.11 – 3.12 (September 2026)

New

  • Dark mode — the app follows your phone’s setting, or you can pick Light or Dark under Profile → Appearance.
  • Speed presets — Away, Low, Normal, High and Boost in Manual mode; hold a step to choose which fan level it sets.

Improved

  • Bluetooth setup has been rebuilt: nearest units listed first with signal strength, a proper progress screen while the unit joins your Wi-Fi, support for open and hidden networks, and a way back from every step instead of a dead end. It works again on Android 11 and older.
  • The duct heater/cooler and humidifier views are redesigned — readings in the order the air flows through, one clear status line, and mode changes made in place. The humidifier now says what it is doing and describes any alarm in plain words.
  • Home settings show one row per home, with each home’s members, devices and country on its own screen. Members only see the actions they can actually take.

Fixed

  • The Settings tab could reopen a screen you had jumped to from the dashboard, or stay stuck on the ventilation settings after a Bluetooth session, instead of showing the settings list.
  • Over Bluetooth, constant-flow and custom-airflow changes did not take effect, and the flow mode shown could disagree with the app over the internet.
  • Entering local control could show a blank dashboard for a few seconds, and on a new unit could wrongly report that the firmware was too old.

Version 3.10 (August 2026)

New

  • Push notifications — home invites and ownership changes now reach your phone, not just your inbox.
  • Push switch in your profile — turn phone notifications on or off for your account, separately from e-mail.
  • E-mail preferences prompt is back — choose which e-mails you want.

Improved

  • Profile now separates Push from E-mail notifications, so it is clear which channel each setting controls.
  • Inviting someone to your home explains that we e-mail them for you — no need to pass the message on yourself, and they do not need an Airobot account beforehand.
  • Transferring ownership now says plainly that you become a member of the home, and asks you to confirm before the invite goes out.

Fixed

  • Room names are back on the ventilation dashboard and on zone sensor assignment — some units had started showing device IDs instead.

Version 3.9 (August 2026)

  • Zonal ventilation — divide your home into two zones and let CO₂ decide where the fresh air goes.
  • Zones chart — Statistics now shows when each zone was open or closed through the day.
  • External switch input — a wall switch can now trigger boost ventilation (V2 units, firmware 543 or newer).
  • System Test — installers can drive each output in turn during commissioning.
  • Device settings are regrouped by product, and show only what your hardware actually has.
  • Actions that used to fail without a word now explain why — removing a device, inviting someone, renaming, transferring ownership and more.
  • Adding a device from the empty dashboard could file it under the wrong home.

Version 3.8 (July 2026)

  • Restored external heating and cooling control for older device models.
  • Constant flow settings now appear on every device that has the sensors for it, and stay reachable when you switch modes.
  • Refined wording and navigation throughout, plus reliability improvements.

Version 3.7 (June 2026)

  • Set your country. You can now choose your country when creating a home, and change it anytime from Home settings.
  • Clearer statistics. CO2 history now shows for thermostat and air quality sensor devices. Chart times display in your local time. Sensor only devices show a simpler view without irrelevant heating lines.
  • Simpler filter reminder. The replace filters prompt is cleaner and easier to act on.
  • Polish and fixes. Refined wording and navigation throughout, plus reliability improvements to sign in and adding devices.

Version 3.6 (June 2026)

  • Guided duct-type setup – Setting up your ventilation unit is clearer than ever. You can now pick your unit’s duct layout during setup, with step-by-step instructions to help you get it right the first time.
  • “Setup needed” reminders – If a device still needs a setup step to work properly, you’ll now see a clear banner pointing you to what’s left — no more guessing why something isn’t running as expected.
  • Improvements & fixes – Various refinements across the app, plus updated translations, for a smoother, more reliable experience.

Version 3.4 (May 2026)

  • Redesigned Bluetooth pairing — Connecting your Airobot to Wi-Fi is now faster and clearer. The pairing flow has new screens for scanning, connecting, picking a network, and seeing what went wrong if something fails. A signal-strength indicator shows you the Bluetooth quality while you’re connected.
  • Smarter reboot feedback — When you reboot a device from the error banner, the button now shows a 60-second countdown while the app waits for the device to come back online. No more guessing whether the reboot worked.
  • New ventilation settings hub — Tapping the settings gear (or the Settings tab in Bluetooth mode) now opens a clean list of topics — Auto modes, Other settings, Expert settings, External duct module, Humidifier — so you land directly on what you need instead of scrolling through one long page.
  • Statistics improvements — Charts show status bands (good / moderate / poor) under the data line, an info button explains each metric in detail, and bogus sensor readings (66554% humidity, 3276 °C temperature) are filtered out automatically.
  • Compact filter banner — The “Replace filters” notice is now tighter: title row with a one-tap dismiss (×), and the help link and order button share one row instead of stacking awkwardly.
  • Duct device settings redesign — Each duct-controller setting now has an in-line explanation so you understand what it does before changing it.
  • Fan balancing, Heat exchanger type, and Frost protection are now locked behind installer mode to prevent accidental damage. Frost protection is special: anyone can turn it on, but only installers can turn it off.
  • Significant translation pass across all 8 supported languages — English, Estonian, Latvian, Icelandic, Dutch, Slovenian, Romanian, Polish. Special focus on Bluetooth pairing, settings rows, and error messages. Several previously English-only screens are now fully localized.
  • Android — settings & home-group picker on the ventilation dashboard: opens correctly now. Previously it could render invisibly or get cut off
  • Android — sign-in and form buttons: no longer hidden behind the system gesture bar at the bottom of the screen
  • CO₂, humidity, and temperature setpoint pickers on the dashboard now open reliably on Android.
  • Multiple crash fixes (3 known crashes resolved)
  • Auto-mode performance and cloud polling reliability improvements.

Version 3.3 (May 2026)

  •  Better statistics view — temperature charts now show your setpoint line, and floor temperature is included where relevant.
  • Refreshed look — bigger, easier-to-read text across the app; consistent value pills throughout settings; cleaner section spacing on the device info screens.
  • Settings tidied up — Shop link moved to the bottom of the Settings menu so it stays out of the way until you need it.
  • Fixed setpoint pickers (CO₂, humidity, VOC, PM2.5) not opening or appearing empty on some devices.
  • Pause button moved next to the boost button

Version 3.2 (May 2026)

  • New Smart Presence feature card on the dashboard with cleaner, unified value pills.
  • Statistics: status-banded line on charts, info pop-up explaining each parameter, refreshed filter UX.
  • Fan-speed and Pause button fixes; renewed boost / overpressure timeout look.
  • New Auto mode explanation so it’s clearer when and how it triggers.
  • Tap-and-hold to copy the device serial from the device info screen.
  • Offline / connection-lost messages improved, plus smoother animations when switching between devices.

Version 2.32 (January 2026)

  • Improved QR code scanner performance.
  • Filter reminders can now be set for any month (not only 3, 6, 9, or 12).
  • Improved the statistics view and fixed an issue where data sometimes failed to load.

Version 2.30 (December 2025)

  • Fixed an issue where thermostat setpoint changes were applied to another thermostat
  • Fixed an issue where heating thermostats were sometimes not displayed in the app.
  • Fixed an issue where turning on the humidifier was not possible
  • 230V thermostats heating (green) or not heating (grey) color dot has been improved to show exact state of heating

Version 2.28 (December 2025)

  • More stable Bluetooth connectivity, minimum required ventilation device firmware is 541.
  • User management added: home owners can invite or remove users.
  • Fixed a bug where changing the setpoint on one thermostat affected another.
  • 24V systems now support a minimum setpoint of 5°C (previously 18°C).
  • Fan coil units can now be controlled directly from the mobile app.

Version 2.27 (October 2025).

  • Control your device locally via Bluetooth. To connect, go to Settings or the “Connect Wi-Fi or Configure” screen during signup. Your ventilation unit must run firmware version 539 or newer.
  • Added Demo Mode, which now shows a demo home group where both the thermostat and ventilation can be controlled.
  • The fan balancing view has been redesigned for a smoother experience and a clearer overview of real-time fan speeds. Devices with constant flow support now include additional options to set minimum and maximum airflow levels.
  • Fixed various crashes and stability issues

Ventilation units

Version 544 (August 2026)

  • Fixed an issue where the unit would not increase fan speed in auto mode when an external CO2 sensor (such as a thermostat) exceeded its CO2 setpoint.
  • Fixed a case where the duct cooler bypass could switch too frequently.
  • When the app is open, your unit now sends data to the server every 15 seconds instead of 30 — making the app react and refresh up to twice as fast.
  • Fixed an issue where manual CO2 sensor calibration could fail and trigger a sensor error.

Version 543 (June 2026)

  • Improved Air Quality Control Fan speed now responds more smoothly to changes in air quality, eliminating abrupt adjustments for quieter, more comfortable operation.
  • Enhanced Sensor Reliability We’ve significantly improved the reliability of CO2 and other air quality sensors, including automatic recovery from rare sensor errors to ensure consistent, accurate readings.
  • More Stable Connectivity & Updates Improvements to WiFi, Bluetooth, and over-the-air update handling make connections more reliable and software updates smoother.
  • General Performance & Stability Various background fixes improve overall system stability and the accuracy of the data your unit reports.

Version 542 (January 2026)

  • Fixed a rare issue where the device required a power reset after a firmware update.
  • Improved overall sensor stability.
  • Improved damper relay functionality.
  • Fixed a very rare issue where the device rebooted unexpectedly.
  • Fixed an issue where the VE1 remote controller sometimes did not transmit CO₂ readings to the ventilation unit.
  • Auto mode improvements: smoother response to CO₂ increases, which were sometimes too sudden before.
  • Added configuration for the IN-1 input, allowing it to trigger overpressure, boost, or both via short or long press.

Version 541 (December 2025)

  • More stable over-the-air updates via Wi-Fi.
  • Improved stability of air quality sensors.
  • Significantly more stable Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Fixed an issue where the extension board pump relay occasionally failed to turn on.

Version 539 (October 2025)

  • New! Control your ventilation unit locally via the mobile app using Bluetooth connection (Wi-Fi enabled ventilation devices only)
  • Central humidifier now includes multiple new safety features for more secure operation
  • Various bug fixes and performance improvements

Version 538 (August 2025)

  • Improved stability and accuracy for the new air quality sensor in V4 and V6 models.
  • Fixed issue where, in some models, the VOC sensor incorrectly displayed readings as “0”.
  • Corrected PM2.5 sensor readings: due to a sensor manufacturer-side update, values were previously multiplied by 10. The latest firmware now restores accurate PM readings.

Version 537 (August 2025)

  • Added compatibility for Airobot V4 and V6 models, including the ability to change the device ducting type (Right or Left) directly from the mobile app or controller.
  • Fixed an issue where devices could lose connection with the extension module for duct cooler or heater control.
  • Introduced an all-in-one air quality sensor, now integrated into V4 and V6 models.
  • Improved constant airflow control for even smoother and more stable fan operation.

Version 536 (March 2025)

  • This update introduces constant flow fan control and fan power consumption monitoring for compatible devices, improving performance and energy tracking.
  • The device will now remain off after a fire alarm is cleared, preventing unintended automatic restarts.
  • Added support for automatic damper relays where applicable.
  • Fixed a rare issue where certain settings could be lost after an over-the-air (OTA) update.
  • Devices now send error alerts directly to the server, laying the groundwork for future push notification support.

Version 533 (July 2024)

  • Added support for Airobot Lite devices.
  • Fans can now be controlled based on PM (Particulate Matter) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) levels.
  • Various improvements to humidifier functionality.
  • CO₂ threshold for presence detection is now configurable.
  • Improved fan control logic to reduce false error reports.
  • Wi-Fi functionality introduced for units manufactured from September 2024 onward (if equipped with Wi-Fi hardware).

  • Airobot room sensors and thermostats now transmit air quality data to ventilation devices.
  • Fixed: Presence detection (energy-saving mode) activating even when disabled.

Version 269 (1.13) (March 2026)

  • Sensor-only mode: The thermostat can now operate in sensor-only mode, which disables temperature setpoint selection and hides irrelevant settings and menu items.
  • The thermostat now reports any setting changes to the server immediately, improving responsiveness in the app.
  • Fixed an issue where the floor sensor reading was not exposed through the Local API when the thermostat was in air measurement mode.
  • Added floor sensor calibration support, consistent with the existing air sensor calibration feature.
  • Actuator exercise: If no heating has been requested for 14 days, the actuator will perform an automatic exercise cycle to prevent the heating manifold from seizing during extended idle periods. This can be disabled in settings (recommended for electric floor heating systems).
  • Fixed a rare issue where the thermostat setpoint could no longer be changed from the app after an extended period of use, requiring a power reset to recover.
  • Modbus TCP support added (BETA — register map documentation pending; addresses subject to change).
  • Added the ability to configure floor sensor resistor values.
  • Minimum and maximum air/floor heating setpoints can now be configured during initial setup, streamlining first-time installation.
  • The thermostat now handles networks with multiple access points sharing the same SSID, always connecting to the strongest signal.

Version 267 (1.11) (August 2025)

  • You can now secure your thermostat with a PIN code. Choose between a full lock to fix the temperature or a partial lock that allows changes only within your defined minimum and maximum range, giving you better control and preventing unwanted adjustments.

Version 266 (January 2024)

  • It is now possible to set the minimum and maximum allowed heating setpoint temperature, defining the range the user can choose from.

Version 264 (June 2023)

  • In some cases, the hardware number shown on the screen was incorrect.

  • In rare cases, the thermostat could stop functioning and require a restart.

Version 263 (May 2023)

  • The main menu interface has been redesigned.

  • An automatic actuator cycling function has been added to prevent valve sticking.

  • A local API is now available, with documentation in the Help section.

  • Touch buttons could occasionally stop responding.

  • Restoring factory settings could cause the thermostat to forget the password, which can now be recovered by contacting support.

Room sensors SE1 and room controller

Controller Version 266 (August 2025)

  • Additional relays for pump and boiler control now include a function that starts them with a 3-minute delay if at least one of the zones is requesting heat.
  • Fixed issue, where In some rare cases, the room controller could lose connection with all room sensors and require a reboot to restore connection.
  • If room sensors lose connection with the room controller, an emergency function activates running heating for 15 minutes on and 45 minutes off. Previously it was 6 minutes off, 16 minutes on.

Controller Version 265 (May 2025)

  • Fixed occasional room controller connection issues over LAN.
  • Added auto-recovery for room sensors when connection is lost.

Controller Version 263, Room Sensors Version 258 (December 2024)

  • The controller now includes an option during initial setup to configure floor cooling functionality, offering greater flexibility for your system.
  • Compatibility has been added to control up to four external fan coils, expanding system capabilities.
  • Connection stability with room sensors has been improved for more reliable and seamless operation.
